The Giver
This book was short, sweet, and simple. Set in a dystopian society through the eyes of a 12 year old boy named Jonas, the straight-forward yet thought-provoking narrative makes it appealing to both children and adults. I was surprised not only by how well written it was for a children's book, but how quickly I tore through it.
